Haha, me too! I see it as part of my life, I'm a fan since I was 6 years old so what?! And don't worry about the things people may say to you, think of all the creators of animated movies or Animes, fantasy films and Comics. These people are mostly beyond their 20's. Would you call them "inmature"?

i started watch anime when i was once alone in home (i was 14?) and in tv there was absolutely nothing interesting. then on one channel was cartoon and i though what the hell, okaaay. but next day i watched another ep and the same in two days later. my bro once catch me watching ans said 'o god, you crazy? chinese cartoons?' but i just growled and continue, so he sat next me. he was watching, watchin' and i started explain who is who but he said annoyed 'ok sis - focus. explanations later'
now we are both fans xD
and it was anime 'slayers'.

That's sweet how you had your contact and your brother too. I had my contact with anime before I knew the genre at all. It started with "Lady Oscar", "Mila Superstar" and "Rock n' Roll Kids". As far as I remember I watched it.
"Slayers" never made it into german TV or I missed that one.
